Panther joins Abbey Coaches fleet
Abbey Coaches, based in south Glasgow, has taken delivery of a new high-specification Plaxton Panther.
The latest coach is a 12.8m B8R with I-Shift transmission and 57 extended seats with leather headrests, centre demountable toilet, fridge, air-conditioning, USB portals for every passenger, sound and entertainment systems, real-time tracking and telematics, reversing cameras and CCTV.
The B8R joins a fleet of coaches dominated by Plaxton products that support Abbey’s activities across Scotland and the UK. Its operations include airport transfers, day trips, extended excursions, bespoke tours, corporate hires, sports events and theatre trips.
“We pride ourselves in offering value for money, quality services that are best-in-class and our long-standing partnerships with central government, local authorities, schools and corporate entities are an endorsement of that strategy,” says director Graeme Walker, who runs the family business along with his mother Christine. “To stay at the forefront of the industry however, you also need vehicles that are state-of-the-art, reliable, perform well consistently and have the flexibility to tackle a whole range of jobs. The Panther and the Plaxton range in general, works well for us and has been a crucial part of our success over the past 25 years.”
