Bernard Kavanagh & Sons marks 75th anniversary with new Volvo 9900s
Irish operator Bernard Kavanagh & Sons has ordered an additional three Volvo integral B11R 9900 premium coaches and two B11R JHV2s for its predominantly Volvo fleet.
This latest order from the Kilkenny based operator, which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary, follows a purchase of three 9900s in 2019, with the new vehicles set to be used on incoming touring work.
“We added three of the new premium 9900 coaches to our fleet last year and have been extremely happy with their operational performance and reliability,” says Bernard Kavanagh, owner and director. “In particular the impressive appearance of the coach and interior styling and comfort has gone down extremely well with our passengers who are bowled over when they see it for the first time.
“As with most coach operator businesses today, aftersales is very important to us and we receive excellent service from our local Volvo dealership, Irish Commercials in Naas, which was another determining factor in our going with Volvo again this year.”
Alongside the new 9900s, Bernard Kavanagh & Sons is also purchasing two new B11Rs with JHV2 bodywork. These recent deliveries bring the total quantity of Volvos purchased by the company to 39 in the last four years.
Established in 1945, Bernard Kavanagh & Sons is Ireland’s largest private coach tour provider, based at Urlingford and offering luxury coaches for touring and international contracts.
