Switch Mobility appoints Mahesh Babu to leadership roles

Mahesh Babu has taken up a role as chief operating officer of Switch Mobility and chief executive officer of Switch Mobility, India. Babu has more than 25 years of experience in mobility and joins Switch from Mahindra Electric where he was managing director and CEO. 

Under his leadership, Mahindra Electric launched six new electric vehicles including three-wheel and four-wheel commercial vehicles as well as software platform, NEMO. One of the key projects under his leadership was India’s first monocoque SUV, the XUV500. He has also been helping to shape future mobility policy in India by delivering electric total cost of ownership solutions through initiatives in passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, and ‘last mile’ mobility. Before joining Mahindra, he previously worked at Ashok Leyland.
