Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire-based coach operator Moving People has taken delivery of a Scania Touring HD coach. This is the third Scania Touring taken by the company, and the latest is based on a 13.7m long Scania K 410 EB 6×2*4 three-axle, rear-steer chassis. The Touring body has 59 reclining seats with USB charging points at each seat, three-point seatbelts, DVD player and two monitors, a Frenzel drinks machine, extra dark tinted glass and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels.
“This is the third Scania Touring we have bought in as many years and it does the job very well,” says Moving People director Glen Chamberlain. “I am pleased to add it to our fleet and put it straight to work on our own holiday tour programme. We know from experience that the Touring is a success with our customers and it continues to reinforce our company’s brand and reputation.
“The Touring looks great and is well specified, it delivers good fuel economy and represents good value both in terms of cost-new and high residual values. In essence, it’s a tool to do a job and it does it very well indeed.”
